Mechanoprocessing and machine-assembling manufacture at KNAAPO specializes in production and assembly of complex, precision units made of ferrous and non-ferrous alloys.
Mechanoprocessed components are part of all aggregates of the aircraft that is why requirements to their quality are very high.
There is a park of universal and specialized machine tools for execution of turning, milling, boring and grinding operations.
At the installed equipment it is possible to manufacture the following details:
- Aluminum alloys details: type panels 7000x1600x800mm dimensions; Basic parts of complex configuration (aggregates/ hydrocylinders cages, etc.)
- Titanium power details (bulkheads, girders, etc.) and the details working in hostile environments for the processing equipment
- High-strength constructional steel details, including stainless strips details (trumpet boards manufacture for thermal pumps 1500x800x40mm dimensions with 1200 holes 18mm in diameter for heat interchanger funnels)
- Tool steel details, including in a quenched condition (dies, the moulds, cutting instrument etc.);
- The electroerosion details machining is a panels' punching by complex shape holes, including under the different angles to a detail plane, 1600x700 mm dimensions, dimensional circuit handling
- Grinding of details with 300 mm maximum diameter and length up to 1800 mm, and also grinding of planes with length up to 6000 mm and width up to 1500 mm fasteners from different materials with diameter up to 22 mm and length up to 200 mm (the fasteners for civil airplanes S-80 and Be-103 is made under USA standards).
JSC KNAAPO carries out modernization very actively and as a result the following progressive equipment is recently put into operation:
- Swiss electroerosive wire cutter "AGIECUT " is intended for manufacture of difficultly shaped head loops of parts from current-carrying materials of any hardness. The maximal weight of a blank part - 450 kg. It is as well intended for unmanned application:
- Multi-purpose milling machine tools produced by "Deckel Maho" corporation are intended for complex milling - a worm, spiral tapping, and handling of shaped holes. The maximal dimensions of a blank part 800x500x850mm and the maximal weight - 500 kg.
- The CNC five-coordinate milling machines with table length up to 3 m are able to handle parts with 3000x800x750mm overall dimensions and weight up to 3 tons.
- Russian CNC three coordinate milling machines FP-7 VS2 for high-speed details milling with 3000x600x400mm maximal overall dimensions.
- The CNC high-performance lathes produced by "Deckel Maho" corporation for fair handling of high-strength metals and handling of details from nonferrous metals with length up to 1000mm and up to 250mm in diameter.
- The CNC coordinate grinding machine produced by "Hauser" company allows manufacturing a coordinate grinding of holes and any complex circuits with depth of handling up to 120 mm, parts with 800x500x500mm dimensions and up to 300kg weight.
- German profile-formative thread-rolling machine tool PR-16. It is intended for final knurl of a thread for one transition. The maximal diameter of a blank part - 50 mm.
